Known issues

The wood calculator is for single log structures only.
The force values are not cleared when the inputs are changed. You must click “Calculate Forces” after changing any inputs.
All force calculations are approximate and are intended for research purposes only.
Moment forces are not included.
Only the first 6 characters of the reference line names are read from the HDF geometry file.
The HEC plan and geometry files must have the same integer identifier in their file name.
Boulders are always assumed to be directly on top of the log and 100% in flow.
Boulders with the name [Add New Boulder] are ignored from the analysis.

1.2.0 - 25 Sep 2024

Outputs are not displayed until the Calculate Forces button is clicked. The outputs are hidden again as soon as any change to the geometry is made, thereby invalidating the outputs until the forces are calculated again.
New controls for manipulating the scale of the chart, including disabling automatic scaling of the chart when the log geometry is changed.
The outputs pane now has a scroll bar.
Removed the confirmation message when calculations have finished.
Sorted wood types alphabetically.

When selecting a plan HDF file, the software now reads the associated plan file (with the same file name but without the .hdf file extension) and uses this to determine the name of the geometry file.
